Update March 2020:
Female Singer, Guitarist, U.K.
Moving, deep, lyrical, compelling – that comes to mind listening to Josephine.
Music is brought back to the Old Vinyl Factory Sessions in the echo-laden old buildings in Hayes, West London, where albums by The Beatles were pressed. And… the best British Record Players were made there ! Wow..
They are giving new artists a change to play 2 songs in this venerable setting.
Josephine played simple acoustic guitar and belted out her signature song. Absolutely beautifully done! Clear, chimey, sweet and lovely come to mind.
Since she was small, Mancunian Josephine Oniyama (she goes by Josephine) has been singing. Her style ranges from soul to pop to message-driven songs with a clarity, soulfulness and originality, that is always the hallmark of a true artist.
Soulful Female Singer Josephine Oniyama
Her first album, Portrait, was highly acclaimed by the Sunday Times, Mojo, Q and Uncut. She toured the UK and Europe and played massive festivals everywhere. She has released some new music, after collaborations and touring with Travis and Matthew Halsall. The new album is called: Til You, and is released through Sound of Solar Records.
